McLean County: Winter Tree ID

Join University of Illinois Extension, McLean County Soil & Water Conservation District, Trees Forever, and Sugar Grove Nature Center as they team up to host a “Winter Tree Identification Workshop” at Sugar Grove Nature Center in Funks Grove.

This one day workshop is designed to give participants in-depth training and practice identifying trees by their bark and twigs. Class will begin indoors learning basic plant morphology, characteristics, and terminology and studying twig specimens in an interactive format. We will then move outdoors to explore Funks Grove and practice identifying trees by putting your new skills to work!

Fee: $25; includes Winter Tree ID Guide, other valuable resources, lunch & snacks

Class size is limited and advanced registration and pre-payment are required.
