Gateway Green Conference

Join us in Collinsville on March 6th for a full day of presentations divided into three tracks:  Building Sustainable Landscapes, Conservation Stewardship, and Tree Care.    

Natural resource professionals, arborists, green industry, landowners, volunteers, and everyone all are invited to attend this full-day event.  CEU's for Arborists, Park & Rec staff, Golf Course superintendents and Landscape Contractors are available.  

A variety of green topics will be presented by expert speakers, including:

  • Will this Tree Fail? Recognizing and Mitigating Conditions of Concern in Urban Trees (Jake Miesbauer, Morton Arboretum)
  • Pruning for Tree and Shrub Health (Ryan Pankau, University of Illinois Extension)
  • Using Plant Phenology to Better Predict Pest Treatment Timing (Aaron Schulz, Oak Bros Tree Care & Removal LLC)
  • Ecology of Spring Ephemeral Wildflowers (Chris Benda, Southern Illinois University)
  • Chainsaw Safety and the Open Face Boring Back Cut (Kevin Rohling, University of Illinois Extension)
  • Herbicide and Application Options to Control Woody Plants (Chris Evans, University of Illinois Extension)

 $80 per person for advanced registration by March 1, 2024.  $85 per person for late and at-door registration.  $50 per person discounted registration for Certified Master Gardeners and Master Naturalists.
