The Illinois Forestry Association is proud to offer our online Timber Sale service*. Current members in good standing are entitled to post their private timber sales at no charge. There is a nominal fee required for non-members and for consulting foresters who wish to utilize this service on behalf of their clients. Timber postings are removed from the website following the bid opening date. Please refer to the fee structure below.

To participate in this service, please email your timber sale announcement directly to the IFA Technical Committee chair, Jay Hayek (jhayek@uiuc.edu). All timber sale announcements must be in Microsoft Word (.doc) or Rich Text Format (.rtf) and must include the following information:
- Timber sale name
- County and state
- Legal location
- Contact name & information
- Bid opening date, time, and location
- Total volume and number of trees
- Volume and number of trees by species
- Sale comments
- Digital aerial phtoto (optional)
