  • Please register so that we may contact you if the always unpredictable spring weather causes a delay or deferral. An email address would be most helpful in that it will be difficult to contact everyone by phone if there is a problem. Please check your email about 10 am the morning of this event for any update.

Registration is closed
An IFA demonstration of tree planting, herbicide application, and tour of two previous seedling plantings done in 2009 and 2011 will be held in Jo Daviess County with consulting forester Kevin Oetken.  This field event will examine the progress of the plantings and their survival through the drought and deer.

This event will be held at Dick and Carole Pouzar's Tree Farm, 2303 West Cording Road, in Jo Daviess County.  Parking however will be available from Elizabeth-Scales Mound Road, about 9 miles north of US Rte 20 and 4 miles south of Scales Mound, Illinois.  Parking will be on the east side of the road about 1/4 mile south of Cording Road, and 1/4 mile north of Schapville Road.

Registration is required in case of weather delays and to judge parking needs.  After you register, an email reminder will be sent you 2 days before the event.  The morning of April 13th, please check your email about 8 am if the weather is threatening for any updates.
