Do you own forestland, but are not currently managing it?  A well-managed forest is healthier, more productive for timber and better for wildlife.  The University of Illinois Extension Service is hosting a Forest Management Workshop on January 30th from 6:00-8:00pm at the Johnson County Extension office in Vienna.  Come to this free workshop to listen to Forestry experts discuss the practices used in forest management, including techniques such as thinning, prescribed fire and invasive species control.  Also covered will be programs and opportunities for landowners interested in forestry and forest management.
